Temursan is an R&D initiative working on UAV and UGV autonomous systems, started at Karadeniz Technical University. We work across the full autonomy stack: platform control (flight/motion controllers, avionics), perception (sensor fusion, threat detection), and decision-making (route risk scoring, path planning). From structure to power systems, aerodynamics to electronic warfare, every component is engineered in-house.
This project focuses on building an integrated autonomous system architecture for UAVs and UGVs operating in military and logistics missions, based on semantic communication. Instead of transmitting raw imagery, the UAV processes what it captures in real time with onboard AI, extracting only what matters for the mission — route coordinates, risk zones, obstacle detection, and risk scores.
This semantic data is compressed into an optimized coordinate and risk format that stays usable even under low-bandwidth conditions, then passed to the UGV. The UGV evaluates it against a shared risk map to compute the safest, most efficient route for the mission at hand.
The system is built for environments where bandwidth is limited and communication is intermittent and latency-sensitive — favoring mission-relevant information over raw data transfer, cutting communication load while improving operational safety.
The goal is a practical prototype architecture that strengthens UAV-UGV collaboration for convoy security, forward-base logistics, disaster response, search and rescue, and autonomous logistics operations — using energy and communication resources efficiently.
Our goal is to turn this R&D work into a company operating globally in autonomous systems and electronic warfare. The core purpose of our route risk scoring technology is to protect human life in the field — to keep people from paying the cost of a wrong or risky route. We work for tomorrow, not just today; with the steps we take now, we aim to grow this technology in service of humanity's safety.
